Lead time sounds boring until it is not. I once worked with a team that planned a product launch perfectly, only to miss their window because their flexible packaging supplier added two extra weeks without warning.

Delays like that ripple fast. Production schedules shift. Warehouses clog. Sales teams have nothing to ship. All from one silent change in lead time.

This is why you need to understand how a supplier plans capacity. Do they hold stock? Do they rely on overseas films? What happens during peak seasons?
