Having a clutter-free desk is also effective at boosting productivity as you’re able to focus purely on the task at hand without having to rummage through piles of paper. Try to tidy your desk at the end of your day as well. That way when you set back up again in the morning, everything is already in its place and ready to go.

If you don’t have room for a home office, try creating a small area where distractions will be kept to a minimum, and make sure you can work safely by having the correct furniture. For example, if you only have space at your dining room table, invest in a decent office chair and laptop stand so that you can make it as desk-like as possible.
